I know Abel Ferrara has his fans, and truthfully I'm not overly familiar with his work as this is my first film of his I've seen, but this film is completely symbolic and outside of a few beautiful landscape shots, I found this pretty dull, though thankfully it's only 85-minutes long, however there were times I zoned out. I'll give some credit to Dafoe (and his sixth collaboration with Ferrara), but this was not my kind of film. Personally, I'd rather watch a movie about Dafoe bar tending in Siberia encountering an odd crop of characters... 1.5/5
