He appeared in his last porn film, Catalina Video's Man of the Year, in 1990. He started up Forrest Films, his own production company, in 1990. He also recorded a cover of Nick Gilder's, Rated X, which was released as a 12" Dance Record single in 1990. A performance of Cass's single at the I-Beam dance club in San Francisco was quickly sold out.
