Perhaps best known for his Top 40 hit single "No Myth", released in November 1989 - and featured in Amy Heckerling's 2000 romantic comedy Loser - Penn has primarily worked as a film composer. He has married to fellow 80's hitmaker Aimee Mann, of the band 'Til Tuesday.
