Widely recognised as one of the most talented and accomplished players in the history of the sport, he holds the record for the most ranking titles in professional snooker. As a seven-time world champion, a seven-time Masters champion and a eight-time UK champion, he has won a record 23 Triple Crown titles. He has been ranked world number one on multiple occasions and was awarded an OBE in 2016.
