He has since appeared in a number of films and television shows, including the recurring role of Detective Malik Abed in the television series Coroner.
In 2019, McQueen was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the film Disappearance at Clifton Hill. He has also received critical acclaim for his work in the films Fahrenheit 451 and Books of Blood.
