Incantation blends supernatural terror with raw human emotion as Ronan, a mother haunted by an unseen curse, struggles to protect her child while confronting the trauma and mistakes of her past. Despite confusing time jumps and several noticeable plot holes, the film’s atmospheric tension, convincing performances, and effective use of ritualistic horror create an immersive experience that feels disturbingly real. Ultimately, it becomes a tragic yet tender story about belief, consequence, and the lengths a mother will go to face the darkness for her child.
