I didn't have to get very far in to The Tale before I realised I was in for something different. Something more. The way The Tale suckerpunches you with some rather distressing truths about memory, imagination, and sense-of-self, right from the outset, is simultaneously riveting, and horrifying.
Very confronting, genuinely difficult to watch, but very important, and depressingly, very relatable. The Tale is grimly realistic, and as a unique form of storytelling I must recommend it, however I still caution any potential viewer, given the raw way _The Tale _deals with its subject matter.
Final rating:★★★ - I liked it. Would personally recommend you give it a go.
