During WWII, the titular Ilsa runs a Nazi camp conducting experiments in how much pain a woman can withstand. The disclaimer at the start proclaims these experiments are historically accurate and the film is intended to prevent these acts from occurring again. This is just an excuse to present us with as much blatant nudity, unbridled sadism, unrelenting torture and utter depravity as they can fit into 90 mins. It does grab your attention and is strangely compelling, like voyeuristically watching something awful but you can't look away. I've seen worse but still rough. -- DrNostromo.com
