Well acted mystery-crime-drama from Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman plus some interesting direction and storytelling with the flashbacks inserting Freeman's police inspector with Hackman's recollection of his memory of the event. That said, even with their great back and forth, I felt like the film could've been so much better. 3.25/5
